In addition to metal envelope systems, various functional layers, such as metal decoration panel systems, photovoltaic systems and maintenance and servicing systems, can be attached according to design and operation requirements of buildings. Their load shall be taken into account in advance in the design of metal envelope systems. Additional functional layers form an independent system. Their design shall be considered for the whole system. In addition, their effect on safety and operation performance of metal envelope systems shall be comprehensively evaluated.
