The composite floor slab represents a kind of floor system in which floor decks and concrete are tightly joined together by means of profile and surface embossing of floor decks to form a composite section and jointly bear loads.
In the service phase of floor, floor decks replace tensile reinforcements in the bottom of floor slabs. Negative bending moment reinforcements in composite floor slabs shall be based on the design specifications for traditional reinforced concrete floor slabs.
